SHOP UPDATE // big changes
Alright folks. We’ve been a little quiet. …but we’ve been spending the summer prepping for some mighty big changes coming to Java Mama. We can’t wait to tell you more. We’ve said it a million times so far and we’ll continue to spread the love…
There are not enough words to express the amount of gratitude we have for you, our Java Mama family. We joke and laugh and play a lot behind the scenes, but we have found ourselves in pure emotion as we recount time and time again how much you’ve showed up for us as an example of what small town support really means. We are SO excited to continue to show up for you as we learn and apply …and continue to learn and apply all what we are being called to do for our town.
…HERE GOES.

NEW HOURS
DINE IN WITH US TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY
7:00AM - 2:00PM
[closed on Mondays]
Why you ask? Because we love the idea of becoming known for being Central’s family breakfast and brunch location. We really want to focus and hone in on what we love the most …which is your specialty breakfast and brunch items. In addition to this new focus, closing at 2:00pm also allows open evenings for more on the hosting side, which is actually a huge part of Java Mama that we haven’t been able to tap into quite yet. We’ve got a fall line-up of Friday evening events coming your way. YAY! Finally something to do on a Friday night with your family.
So yes, our kitchen will close at 2:00pm daily BUT ON WEDNESDAYS
our play area, barista bar, and grab & go items will REOPEN from 4:00-6:00 for scheduled tutoring sessions.
This allows one day a week where school aged kiddos can come in for tutoring, homework sessions, or after school gatherings. We’re also making decisions on hosting a Members-Only evening hour time as well. Stay tuned for more.
We are currently partnering with former 1st grade teacher from TES, Mrs. McLin, to host group tutoring sessions during this time for 1st and 2nd grade. Please reach out for more information or if you’d like to hold Wednesday tutoring sessions at Java Mama.

TWO NEW CHEFS COMING IN FROM HAWAII
MEET JOSH AND DAVID
This duo has a full heart for creativity and a wholesome farm-to-table approach they’ll be applying to our Java Mama kitchen!
Josh and David are joining our Java Mama family …and fact, they already are our family - literally. They have lived in Hawaii for almost a decade with a very off-the-grid, farm to table lifestyle with the resources at hand during their time on the island.
Originally from Louisiana, they’re coming home with a FULL heart for the shop and will be adding some VERY special touches to our menu, along with weekly specials, take-home family meals, and seasonal eating. Josh and David are very in tune with what your body needs during different seasons of the year and we’re excited to not only have them serve you but also educate our community on the health benefits of what, why, and how we consume with wellness in mind.
These new menu roll-outs will come over the course of the fall season, but we can’t wait to really set ourselves a part with what we’ve got in store. This is what the the dining local experience is all about and we can’t wait to share more.

PLAY TIME UPDATES
WE KNOW …IT’S LOUD.
We love those kiddos but we get it. With or without kiddos in tow, the place gets noisy.
From the beginning, we wanted Java Mama to be a place you can escape and to be honest, it was more about the grown-ups than the kiddos. No offense to them, but parenthood is no joke. Over the last year in a half, we’ve learned just how …harmonious… lots of kids in one exciting area can be.
So we’ve got a very cool, sound buffering glass wall going on the half-wall that surrounds the play area. You’ll still be able to see and hear your branded “mom/dad” call, but the whole experience for the dining area is about to get a little more, well, pleasant.
THESE CHANGES ARE HUGE FOR US
…and we’re making them for the greater good of our Java Mama family. We jokingly talk about how it takes a village. As much as we hope to be a part of yours, you are every bit a part of ours as two moms running this shop.
WE APPRECIATE YOU MORE THAN YOU KNOW.
